Italy - Vico Equense Stay
Recently spent a week in Italy on a family girls trip and spent the week exploring along the coast of Sorrento, Amalfi and historical site of Pompeii.
Majority of the time we stayed in Vico Equense, which is nestled on the stunning Sorrento Peninsula. It offers breathtaking views of the Bay of Naples and Mount Vesuvius. It has an authentic Italian atmosphere, with a charming old town, coastal cliffs and it’s the perfect blend of natural beauty and rich history. It is the peaceful escape away from the crowds of nearby tourist hotspots.
We stayed in an apartment in the Castello Giusso complex, it has amazing views from the balcony but the apartment itself could have done with some modernisation as it was very basic.
There are plenty of restaurants and bars nearby giving you an enough choice if you wanted to eat out. We had a lovely meal at Titos - Ristorante and then a good pizza takeaway from Pizzeria da Franco.
It is a good place to base yourself as there is train line that is good to get Naples and Sorrento. Also there is a small marina where you can get ferry tours along the coast and to Capri.
